This warranty applies to all Steelcase-branded products purchased from Steelcase or an Authorized Steelcase Reseller in the Netherlands. A ‘Steelcase Authorized Reseller’ means any retailer who (i) is authorised by Steelcase to sell the products, (ii) is legally authorised to conduct business in the jurisdiction in which the product is sold and (iii) sells the product new and in the original packaging. If you purchased a product directly from one of our dealers, the warranty applies, but it is the dealer’s responsibility to handle the request so please address them directly.
How long is the warranty valid?
The warranty period varies by product type and component (see specific warranty durations below). It starts from the delivery date and is transferable for the remaining period if ownership changes.
Where is the warranty valid?
The warranty is valid in the Netherlands and remains applicable if the product is moved to another country within the European Union, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland. It becomes void if moved outside these regions.
What does the warranty cover?
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use. We will repair or replace defective products, parts, or components at its discretion. If repair or replacement is impractical, we may issue a refund or credit note.
What is NOT covered by the warranty?
Normal wear and tear
Failure to follow Steelcase's installation, use, or maintenance guidelines
Improper use, accidents, or alterations
Use of non-Steelcase parts or components
Variations in surface materials (e.g., colorfastness, texture differences)
What should I do if I need to claim the warranty?
To initiate a warranty claim, you need to:
Provide proof of purchase (original invoice or order confirmation)
Contact the Steelcase Authorized Reseller where you purchased the product, or Steelcase Customer Service at shopnl@steelcase.com
Steelcase may require the return of the defective product before taking action
What happens if Steelcase cannot repair or replace my product?
If repair or replacement is not feasible, Steelcase may offer a refund or credit note, considering the balance of interests and fairness.
What is Steelcase's liability under this warranty?
Steelcase is only liable for direct damages to the product. The company is not responsible for indirect or consequential damages. For more details, contact your Steelcase Authorized Reseller or Steelcase Customer Service.

What is the warranty period for Steelcase Regional or Global Products? (Europe, Middle East, Africa)
A “Global Product” is manufactured in two or more geographical regions (Americas, Europe Middle East and Africa and/or Asia Pacific). A “Regional Product” is manufactured only in one geographical region (Americas, Europe Middle East and Africa or Asia Pacific).
